Le petit marché in Saint-Jean
Every Saturday morning, except during peak season, we head to Place Pierre-Agniel to do our shopping. A few vegetables, some fresh eggs, a little charcuterie... And we're gone for two hours! Because our friends are there, because we chat, because we share a moment of conviviality, a glass of rosé and some crisps. That's the art of living in the Cévennes!
Every Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Place Pierre Agniel – 30960 Saint-Jean-de-Valériscle

Like a breath of Provence in Barjac
On Friday mornings, Place Charles Guynet is bustling with people! Locals and holidaymakers alike gather to stroll through the aisles. To breathe in the scents of olives and lavender, cheese and sun-ripened fruit from organic producers. To hunt for old books at the second-hand bookshop. To discover artisanal products or drink a coffee under the plane trees.
Stroll through Barjac and discover this small medieval village overlooking the garrigue, and who knows, maybe you'll be tempted by a market menu in one of the many restaurants in the historic centre.
Every Friday morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Simplicity and authenticity at Chamborigaud
A market on the edge of Lozère, with a touch of the mountains?
When you ask us where to stock up on fruit and vegetables in season, we send you to Chamborigaud on Sunday mornings.
Many market gardeners sell their produce directly to you: apricots, melons, tomatoes... But will you be able to resist the aroma of roast chicken? Will you indulge in tasting tapenades, chestnut jams, blueberry syrup and more?
We love strolling through this authentic market, in the shade of the plane trees, before crossing the road to enjoy a coffee.
Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Banne's night-time market
We invite you to visit us in Ardèche, away from the main tourist routes.
At Place du Fort, around twenty carefully selected local designers offer high-quality products: jewellery, textiles, soaps, essential oils, perfumes, pottery, ceramics, decorative items, and more.
At Place de l'Église, local producers invite you to sample their treasures: craft beers, Ardèche wines, chestnut flour crêpes... enough to awaken your taste buds.
This charming little village is well worth a visit. Arrive early and let yourself be surprised by the gentle way of life in the Cévennes d'Ardèche.
Every Monday in July and August from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Place de l’Église et place du Fort – 07460 Banne

Les Halles de l'Abbaye
In the heart of Alès, Les Halles de l'Abbaye welcomes butchers, charcutiers, bakers, fishmongers, cheesemongers, oyster sellers, winegrowers and, of course, greengrocers.
Completely renovated in 2025, the market halls are surrounded by shops that are accessible from inside the building in the morning during market hours and open to the outside and surrounding streets in the afternoon to bring life to the neighbourhood.
Strolling among the stalls makes your mouth water and awakens all your senses. You can fill your basket, or if you feel like it, sit down at a table to sample some of the Cévennes' unmissable specialities.
