Our accommodations are designed to reduce environmental impact while providing long-lasting comfort and a peaceful stay.
When we took over the gîtes in 2022, we were fully aware that their environmental performance could be improved. Since then, we have undertaken a series of transformations aimed at reducing our carbon footprint, improving comfort in all seasons, and limiting energy consumption. This approach follows a logic of continuous progress, recognised by several labels, reflecting our desire to combine comfort and respect for the territory.
• Building and thermal comfort improvements
Replacement of single-glass windows and fittings to enhance natural comfort, especially in summer, with blinds and green pergolas.
• Durable and repairable equipment
High-performance appliances, heating and electricity control devices, regular consumption monitoring, with repairability as a priority.
• Responsible water and outdoor space management
Purchase of water-efficient devices, recovery and reuse of some water, controlled watering, and planting of low-water native species.
• Greener energy
Purchase of green electricity and progressive reduction of fossil fuel dependence.
• Global approach
Waste sorting and composting, furniture reuse and renovation, eco-responsible supplies and sustainable purchases.
As part of our continuous improvement, a project to replace the current boiler with a pellet biomass boiler is under consideration to further reduce our environmental footprint.
These structural choices extend into daily actions through our zero-waste approach and responsible, local consumption.
